Why drinking pure water is so important for our health

Posted

Increasingly more people are realizing the benefits of drinking pure water, such as improved health, greater energy and stronger immune system. The human body is around 70 percent water and needs to stay hydrated.

Loaded with chlorine, chlorine byproducts known also as THMs (trihalomethanes), chloroform, bromoform, bromodichloromethane and many other chemicals added to the water during its treatment process to protect us from deadly bacteria, tap water isn't the best choice. It can actually increase your risk of diseases and cause serious health problems.

The same goes for bottled water, which can contain harmful chemicals leaching from plastic bottles (when bottles are exposed to the sun and heat), that may lead to cancer, obesity and behavioral problems.

Studies suggest that bottled water is in many cases only filtered tap water anyway. Some brands sell genuine spring water in glass bottles, which is safe and healthy. However, only a few can pay the price. At the end of the day, pure water still is the best solution.

Health Benefits of Drinking Pure Water

An overwhelming number of studies indicate that pure water will help your body function at optimal levels. Replacing tap water with pure water can lower your risk of many types of cancer by as much as 80 percent. It may also improve brain function, rejuvenate your skin, and prevent allergies. Drinking pure water is a quick and affordable way to improve your health. Here are its benefits:

  • Softer skin and hair
  • Increased energy
  • Improved digestion
  • Reduced risk of disease
  • Better taste
  • Younger looking skin
  • Improved cardiovascular health
  • Decreased muscle and joint inflammation
  • Natural body detox
  • Enhanced nutrient absorption

Researchers have found that pure water lowers the risk of colon, rectal, and bladder cancers. This is due to the fact that it contains no chlorine or bacteria. People who drink pure water regularly are less likely to develop allergies, infections, and inflammation.

Some people will argue that pure water has very little amount of minerals, making it not healthy. It is worth mentioning that regardless purified or not, water can only contain a very small amount of minerals. The amount of minerals that tap water or even mineral-rich water can provide to human body is insignificant. Foods that you consume can provide the entire vitamins and minerals for the entire body even when you do not ingest them from drinking water.

Is Pure Water the Best Choice?

The benefits of pure water go beyond better health. Your appliances will last longer because there are no mineral impurities in this kind of water. You can forget about scale buildup on the washing machine, coffee maker and tea kettle. Pure water will keep your bathtub and shower walls clean, dissolve existing scale, make your clothes look better.

Drinking pure water is a good way to save money as well. It is estimated that Australians pay nearly 2000 times more for bottled water than is the cost of tap water. Why waste your hard earned money when you could buy good quality water purifier and drink the healthiest water possible?
